I started up this blog last year and then did nothing with it. Tblog started to behave itself and I liked my Tblog pals over there. It was comfortable to go on and find everyone there. Ah well, nothing is as constant as change, right?
NurseNancy, for those of you who do not know me yet, is an African American woman who is a nurse! I have both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Nursing and I am working on another Masters in Health Administration. Since I have six children, three of whom still live with us, I don't know when that will be completed!
We recently relocated to Canada from Hartford Connecticut. I used to be a unit manager in a large hospital, working with HIV/AIDs patients, doing mostly end of life care in a variety of areas and loving it all.
Having three teens at home is a challenge and a blessing. I have a daughter in college in Connecticut. She is a dancer and is studying to a physical therapist, or a "physio" therapist as they are known in Canada! MrNurse had two sons who are the eldest of our six, ages 24 and 26. They have both finished college and are in the military in the USA. We pray daily that they remain safe and will always come home to us. The eldest guy has just finished a stint in Iraq, and that's all I will say about THAT.
I swear, if mothers and wives made military decisions, War would never happen. My heart breaks for all the parents, spouses and children who have lost a child, spouse or parent over in the "sand box" and in other military operations.
My husband, or MrNurse, is a project manager at his job. He is also a great dad and an awesome husband!
Well, that's a little about me here in Blogspot. I hope to be able to post here once in a blue moon, as a way to keep "connected" to the acquaintances I made over at Tblog! I'll have to figure out how to redirect them over here!
