I am a 40 year old nurse, also a wife, mom and step mom. Add to that daughter, sister, aunt, friend. I have lots of kids. MrNurse and I have 6. Two were "his" one was "mine" and three arrived when "we" became "us" ! One home made and two were chosen. They have all become "ours" We are an inter-racial couple who have made the move from Connecticut to Canada. Without too much culture shock, I might add! I find that living in Nova Scotia is quite different from where we lived before, just by virtue of the population size. We still have 3 kids at home and now that I have returned full time to work, life keeps us busy. My life and my passion has been working with HIV/AIDs patients. In my previous life, I managed a unit in a large hospital where I looked after many with this disease. MrNurse managed to get transferred to manage a section of his company that is located here in Nova Scotia. We used to live in Hartford CT. We like it here and are meeting a lot of new friends. I work in health care and enjoying what I am doing now. I am passionate about good health and how to get the word out that if you don't have your health, nothing much else matters.
